Takers hits numbers in the box office (20.6 million) over The Last Exercist (20.2 million) this week (August 30). T.I. and Idris Elba along with an all star cast really made this modern day ‘Set it Off’ a movie worth seeing.

Playing in 2,206 theaters and starring Idris Elba, Michael Ealy, Chris Brown, Matt Dilon, Hayden Christensen, and T.I., the heist film took in $21 million at the gate with an average of $9,519 per theater. Many box office analysts predicted the film would take in less than $10 million for the entire weekend.

TI'S CAMP GOT ON THE TRACK TO CLARIFY TI AND TINY DID NOT JUMP THE BROOM

 

T.I.’s camp is shooting down reports the rapper secretly tied the knot before heading off to prison. According to “Sister 2 Sister” magazine, a rep for T.I. called a story making the rounds on the Internet “absolutely not true.” BlackPlanet.com’s “The Urban Daily” recently cited an unnamed source who claimed T.I. and longtime-girlfriend Tameka “Tiny” Cottle got married last week in Miami. T.I. and Tiny, who have been together since 2001, are the parents of two boys — Clifford Harris the Third and Major Harris. T.I. started a 366-day sentence in an Arkansas prison Tuesday. The case stemmed from an October 2007 arrest, where federal officials caught the rapper trying to buy machine guns and silencers from an undercover agent. T.I. faced a maximum sentence of ten years. However, he took a plea deal that offered the lenient

sentence in exchange for one-thousand hours of community service
