Takers hits numbers in the box office (20.6 million) over The Last Exercist (20.2 million) this week (August 30). T.I. and Idris Elba along with an all star cast really made this modern day ‘Set it Off’ a movie worth seeing.
Playing in 2,206 theaters and starring Idris Elba, Michael Ealy, Chris Brown, Matt Dilon, Hayden Christensen, and T.I., the heist film took in $21 million at the gate with an average of $9,519 per theater. Many box office analysts predicted the film would take in less than $10 million for the entire weekend.
I am glad to hear that something good is happening for Chris Brown. People always try to bring him down and forget he is human. Brown's probation is going just as planned. The singer was in a Los Angeles courtroom Thursday morning where Judge Patricia Schnegg praised him for following the rules of his sentence. Brown’s legal troubles stem from his assault of former girlfriend Rihanna last year. Keeping with the terms of his probation, Brown has completed 290 hours of community service so far. Brown has also completed nearly all of his required domestic violence classes. He has just one class left to go.
Chris Brown was sentenced to five years probation after pleading guilty to assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna. following a pre-Grammy Awards party in February 2009. In addition to probation, he was also ordered to complete 180 days of community labor and a year of domestic violence counseling.

Chris Brown has reportedly encountered resistance with the party planning for his 21st birthday party on May 5th. The New York Post is reporting that Brown has been shopping the event to hotspots in New York, Miami and Las Vegas, but promoters have been reluctant to book the singer because, “They don’t want to mess up their relationship, or their potential relationship, with Rihanna,” a source was quoted as saying.
Sooo, does that mean Rihanna is considered BIGGER than Breezy?? Lol.
Chris Brown had a hissy fit on Twitter over the weekend because certain retailers didn’t put his album on the shelves to sell. So, of course we would expect his camp to issue a retraction but this time they went way beyond that!!!

According to Hits Daily Double, Chris Brown’s new LP ‘Graffiti’, which went on sale this week, is projected 150,000 copies first week in the US.
Though I’d be cautious of deeming such numbers anywhere near definitive (these are a projection as opposed to a prediction based on first day sales – it only hit stores in the US a few hours ago!), I’d still say these are quite solid numbers CONSIDERING (the ‘incident’, no televised performances as at writing etc). Nonetheless, for the album to have any sustainable legs, Jive are going to need to put in overtime. Chris has the talent to sell the project, but as we’ve come to know, talent only makes up a small piece of the equation.

Wrigley formally severed ties with Brown on Thursday, Thepcscoop reports. They previously suspended his ads in the wake of allegations that he beat Rihanna in February. At the time, the company said, “Mr. Brown should be afforded the same due process as any citizen.”
After pleading guilty to felony assault in June, Wrigley decided to end their relationship with him. The embattled star’s hit “Forever” was used as a jingle in their Doublemint campaign last year. Marketing Executive Steve Stoute, who negotiated the deal, remained optimistic that Brown could still bounce back. “You can do it. There’s a natural healing process and there’s a bunch of other magic that happens to make you that fortunate, but you can never count somebody out when there’s celebrity involved.”

Rumors of a reunion first surfaced when it was claimed the couple had both asked for a restraining order - banning Brown from going anywhere near his ex - to be lifted.
And speculation will be fuelled by a new report in the New York Post that alleges Brown and Rihanna have spent the weekend together in a Manhattan hotel.
The newspaper alleges they "checked into separate rooms at the Trump International Hotel & Tower on Friday" and "spent the next two days coming and going in separate chauffeured vehicles".
The report comes just days after Brown broke his silence about the bust-up
with Rihanna by releasing a two-minute taped apology.
